Chapter 2 - We Moved to the Jungle!

It's crazy the way life works sometimes. Not even two years ago I'd never have even imagined we'd be living in Mexico. Ten years ago Mexico wasn't even a place I wanted to visit lol. Now here we are living in Mexico for the last 9 months, and we just moved into a more Mexicoy part of Mexico lol.
We are still technically in Puerto Vallarta, but we are now out of the city and into the jungle! It's all kinda crazy the way it happened. Bridget met a guy on the plane on her flight back from the US, they made friends, he invited us to breakfast at his house, he happened to be renting the lower half of the house, and now were we are living in a Mexican jungle lol.

Honestly it's like something out of a really good tv show or a dream even. Now don't get me wrong, it's not perfect. The AC in our bedroom isn't working, there is no stove, the microwave doesn't work, and there is no food delivery out here. But the vibe is on point. After getting all our stuff moved in yesterday we both just sat on the  sofa and felt so comfortable and at home. Even Bolt was very comfortable in his new home surprisingly fast, he was napping in his bed before we even started unpacking.

We are now living in a small village called El Nogalito. We haven't really done much venturing out yet since it's only been a day that we have been here. But I'm pretty sure this is an area that doesn't speak English, so that will be different and good for us. There is a slow river just down the road from us where locals go to cool down, the village has two lil restaurants  and two tiendas (small stores that generally have food and snacks), we are about a 15 minute walk from one of the best beaches for snorkeling, and wild parrots play in the trees during the day. We are also not far from Puerto Vallarta's main beaches and restaurants, they are just a quick Uber ride away. We are far enough away to disconnect, but close enough to still enjoy the city! - Nolan
