Monkey Business
Ok so this one also got away from me but for a fun experience I just can't recommend it enough. The food was average at best, not great, not bad. But weird lil immersive experiences really did bring fun to an ordinary evening of eating out. To start they brought long balloons and taught us how to launch them at a target to try and win free shots. Later during the meal they brought out a serious sparkler for no reason at all other than to hold a giant ass sparkler. Then came a fun electricity trick that I won't spoil for you, but you might want to pass on if you have a pacemaker. And finally we did some karaoke which is actually available anytime but we saved for last. And if you like karaoke you're gonna love this place, their song options are endless, any song you want they got it. Needless to say I took advantage of that opportunity and may have been a bit of a mic hog.
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Monkey Business five stars! Not because the food was the best but because the experience was outstanding. and a good time is all part of the dining experience.

Pepe's Tacos
This one kinda got away from me, so I don't remember what we ordered. I don't remember what it cost. What I do remember is we've been there multiple times. And will be there many many more times lol. This is a must for any one who visits Puerto Vallarta!
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Pepe's Tacos five stars!

Oasis Bay
Nombre del Restaurante - Oasis Bay
Shrimp and Ribeye - $900 pesos
Ribeye - $680 pesos
Total Bill - $1580 pesos = $85.97 USD
This place is amazing. And now we didn't eat all that at the same time. I just wanted to show the food from both visits. The first time we stumbled upon this place we had breakfast. I had the pancakes with more fruit than I could possibly eat. And Bridget had the Mexican breakfast which was really more like hash browns with cheese, egg, and green bell peppers, so freakin good.
Then today for my birthday I decided I wanted to go back and give their lunch a try, and I'm so glad I did. Finding a good steak out here and been a struggle, but omg their ribeye was freaking amazing. I can easily see Oasis Bay becoming a a regular place we go for meals.

Fluffytella - $199 pesos
Fluffy de Melocoton - $188 pesos
Golden Milk - $89 pesos
Capuccino - $76 pesos
Total Bill - $552 pesos = $27.46 USD
I'm not a breakfast person, so I was not excited about going to Fluffy's. Now that I've been, I can definitely say I will go again. Just by looking at their menu they look like a chunky pancake place. But oh they are so much more. These chunky pancakes are not your average pancake. These fuckers giggle when you wiggle lol. They are kinda like a pudding/pancake/jello hybrid. I had the Fluffytella because how could I possibly say no to Nutella, banana, and strawberries? And Bridget had the Fluffy de Melocoton which is a fuffy with peaches. I also had the Golden Milk with is warm milk with turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and other spices. It is suppose to have a lot of health benefits so I figured why not. Bridget had a cappuccino, it was a typical cappuccino.
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Fluffy's five stars!

Wings Army
Nombre del Restaurante - Wings Army
Army Box III - $379 pesos
Corona x4 - $140 pesos
Total Bill - $519 pesos = $25.15 US dollars
We don't remember the flavors of sauce that we got, but there were 6 different flavors and they were al so good. The wings were crispy and meaty. Really top notch wings. The sides - fries, cheese sticks, and onion rings - were subpar. As if they were previously frozen, sitting under a headlamp too long, gas station sad sides. Would totally go back for the wings, but would either try different sides or just omit them altogether.
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Wings Army four stars!

Sirloin Quesadilla - $145 pesos
Pancho Villa Pizza - $290 pesos
El Jefeweizen - $75 pesos
Coca Cola - $45 pesos
Total Bill - $680 peso = $32.87 US Dollars
The food at Los Muertos Brewing was definitely next level. Or so I hear, I actually just had the sirloin quesadilla, but it was so freakin good I didn't even want a bite of pizza, and I freakin love pizza! So that right there should tell ya something. ~Nolan
I had the Caesar salad and the ham, mushroom, and artichoke pizza. You know when you are really craving something and you hope it is as good as you want it to be? This salad was exactly that. it totally scratched my Caesar salad itch. As for the pizza, it too was excellent! Washed it all down with the refreshing Hefeweizen for the perfect lunch...I can't wait to go back! ~Bridget
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso we give Los Muertos Brewing four stars. It would have easily been five stars except they don't use filtered water for their ice. (if you know you know. and if you don't you will.)

Taco Viki
Nombre del Restaurante - Taco Viki
Asada Tacos x4 - $92 pesos
Total Bill - $92 peso = $4.48 US Dollars
This tiny taco stand is right next to our building. We walk past it every night when walking Bolt and they are always busy. It's always just a señora and her two young sons working here. The food is absolutely amazing, and always super fresh. They have tables to eat there, or she will bundle it up to go for you including all of her salsas. It just doesn't get more authentic than this!

Total Bill - $555 pesos =-$27.42 US dollars
This is another place we found by happy accident while trying to go somewhere else to eat lol. This place was packed inside and outside so we knew it must be good. Being the rebel that I am I refused to go with a breakfast food and ordered a pizza, but in my defense then we had pizza left over for dinner and it was the best pizza we've had out here so far! Bridget got the Avocado Toast which was tasty, and she thought she ordered a Mexican coffee just to find out she ordered a hot chocolate which she said was very good. They also sell breads and chocolates there. We will for sure be going back for the pizza, and hopefully remember to buy some chocolates next time.

Republic
Nombre del Restaurante - Republic
Hamburguesa - $248 pesos
Quesa Birria - $238 pesos
Esquites (corn kernels) - $148 pesos
Helado - $88 pesos
Churros - $138 pesos
Margarita Cadillac x2 - $396 pesos
Total Bill - $1,256 pesos =-$61.18 US dollars
Now this place is fun. The energy Republic puts out is exactly what drew us in. We spotted Republic while walking to the beach the day we ate at Margarita Grill. As you walk by the waiter greets you and high fives you even though you are just passing through. Well apparently that worked because next time we were in the area we decided to try that place where they high fived us lol.
Republic is located in Zona Romantica (the gay district) and we just happened to be there during "Bear Week," and let me tell you, the bears in Zona Romantica are not shy.
Now onto the food review! To start they brought over a plate of sliced cucumbers with Tajin on them, so tasty. Then they brought out a funnel of chips and a jam looking salsa. The salsa was very watery and surprisingly didn't have much flavor to it. For drinks we both ordered Cadillac Margaritas, they were strong but not great. Now on to the main course! I've eaten tacos almost every day since we have been in Mexico so I decided to see what a burger and fries in Mexico tastes like. Well, it tastes just like a really good burger and fries that you'd get in the US. Bridget got the Quesa Birria and off the cobb elote (which made a much better dip for the chips than the "salsa"). So much food! The Quesa Birria was full of meat and came with a plethora of items to add and sauces for dipping! She said she would definitely order this again! Finally the dessert. We were full at this point but could not pass up on the churros. The churros were served in four pieces with chocolate and caramel dip, as well as vanilla bean ice cream. OMG so much yum!
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Republic four stars, because this is Mexico and it is not ok to have wack salsa and margaritas.

Fajitas de Arrachera - $258 pesos
Puerto Vallarta Stuffed Crab - $228 pesos
Coca Cola x3 - $165 pesos
Total Bill - $879 pesos =-$42.54 US dollars
This seafood gem happens to be right across the street from our condo, so close in fact that we share the same view!
The staff here were all incredibly friendly and everyone greeted up upon arrival. Once in our seats one of the waiters came to our table with a display platter of all the fresh seafood that they were serving that day. These were no fake plastic lobsters either, these were actual fresh seafood they were showing us. Everything on the menu looked so good, it was hard to decide. We then decided on the Ostiones Grandes en suite Concha a la Diablo (oysters) to start. They were super fresh and delicious. The shells were much different than what we were use to, they looked more like actual rocks, but that was okay because they tasted like yum! Bridget then decided on Fajitas de Arrachera (steak fajitas), and I got the PV Stuffed Crab.. My crab was served in the crab shell split in half, with a very generous about of seasoned crab stuffed on both sides of the shell, it also came with flavored rice, carrots, and a mystery white vegetable that was also tasty lol. Bridget's fajitas were cooked perfectly, and also served in a generous portion, with a side of rice and fresh corn tortillas.
This place is definitely higher end and a lil more expensive than most places here in Puerto Vallarta. But it is a great place for celebrations, date nights, or even just treating yourself.
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give La Langosta Feliz five stars!

Holy hell was this place good. It definitely cost much more than most places in the area, but still not as much as it would have been had this been in the US, but the food smelled amazing and I was thirsty so we rolled with it. And I'm glad we did, the drinks were perfection, the waiter made fresh salsa right at our table, the ceviche was what we'd been dreaming of, and then our tacos were so freakin delicious. The flank steak tacos came with fresh salsa and guacamole. The shrimp tacos come with fresh salsa and a mayonaise type sauce. The portions were fairly large which also was awesome so we could take our leftovers back to our air bnb for another meal.

Las Glorias is the pool side bar at The Sheraton. We snuck in after furniture shopping. And let me tell you security is tight lol. We were just looking for a place to cool down and grab drinks. Anyhoo these margaritas were so good. They served them with peanuts which I thought was also a. nice touch. There are pigeons hanging out in the area that will harass you for the peanuts, but over all it was a nice place to cool off with delicious drinks.

Pozole Grande - $140 pesos (free with order over $300 pesos)
Agua Pina x2 - $200 pesos
Bill total $450 Pesos = $22.11 US dollars
So dang good! The Picadillo Tacos were fantastic, they had cabbage instead of the usual trash lettuce most places use. They were also topped with cabbage which was a nice bonus. I did feel like they were a big stingy on the meat as the tacos seemed a bit hollow. But the taste was great, the tacos were crunchy, and they hit the spot. We got the Pozole free for ordering over $300 pesos. Omg best free Pozole ever! Like if I would have known it was that good I prob would have just ordered the Pozole instead. They gave us a grande pozole so it was enough for Bridget and I too share which was also nice. We both chose Agua Pina for our drink, and it did not disappoint. I think Agua Pina might just be our new favorite drink out here.

Aguamiel
Nombre del Restaurante - Aguamiel
Chilaquiles - $150 pesos
Huevos Rancheros - $150 pesos
Jugo Verde $65 pesos
Turmeric Latte $55
Bill total $420 Pesos = $20.32 US dollars
We stumbled upon Aguamiel while trying to get to a different place lol. Our Uber driver dropped us off 7 blocks away from our destination and said it was right across the street. So we made the best of it and decided to just walk around and find something and the curb appeal of Aguamiel was just too cute to pass up.
Aguamiel has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is in the covered and in the open air. The indoor seating also has an open air section and is beautifully decorated with plants and lights. To start they bring a small plate with one of each of the types of chips they serve standing in a bit of salsa. Bridget ordered her favorite the Chilaquiles with a Turmeric latte. I had the Huevos Rancheros with a Jugo Verde. I was a little worried when my dish arrived, the red sauce looked intimidating, but it was not at all. To my surprise it was the perfect blend of of spices and flavors. I don't even like eggs but I would absolutely order this again. The Jugo Verde was also fantastic, the taste was super green and super fresh.
There will probably be a lot of reviews of Chilaquiles on this page, as it is my favorite breakfast order. These were my first here in Mexico and I can safely say they will be hard to beat! The Turmeric Latte was rich, creamy, and delicious. I concur with Nolan's 5 star rating!!!!!
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Aguamiel five stars!

(We have been back to Aquamiel a few time since the original rating. It's hands down our fav spot here so far. Seen in the picture framed in yellow are a chocolate coffee smoothie, berry smoothie, peanut butter banana toast with bacon, avocado toastie with bacon, and corn ribs. These were all so yummm and I'd get them again and again and again!)
Mexican Doritos
I cannot express my surprise and delight at the difference in Mexican Doritos. They look the same, but they are NOT the same. They are better!!! Way better! Nolan describes them as Cholula flavored Doritos. It is the flavor that has been missing from Doritos my whole life. Oh Mexican Doritos, I love you ❤️
Los Molcajetes
Nombre del Restaurante - Los Molcajetes
Top Sirloin Tacos x6 - $34 pesos
Agua Fresca Pina x2 - $40 pesos
Bill total was $284 Pesos = $13.67 US dollars
This was our first meal in Mexico and it did not disappoint. The tacos come with corn tortillas, sirloin, onion and cilantro. The corn tortillas are made right there while you wait. They are a lil fluffy, have that light charred taste, and make me plain mad at those Safeway tortillas I use to love lol. They also have a full condiment bar with guacamole, salsas, radishes, more onions, and tons of stuff we know nothing about. But we did not try it this time cuz we were feeling a lil anxious about the language barrier. However it is just 6 blocks away from our air bnb and we have sworn to go back and hit that condiment bar hard lol. Now on to the Agua Frescas, OMGGGGG mind blowing yum. It was like drinking a perfect pineapple. Los Molcajetes is cash only, so grab those pesos before you head over.
Also they are Bolt Friendly!
On the Nolan Scale of Delicioso I give Los Molcajetes Four Stars! (5th star pending condiment bar review)
